MANALAPAN, NJ - Manalapan Fire Company #1 (Station 26-2) was dispatched for a report of a smoke condition in the residence at 713 Summer Drive at 0:31 a.m. on March 26.

Upon arrival, 26-2-68 reported nothing showing, with audible alarms sounding. When talking with the home owner, she stated that there was a problem with the fireplace.

When it was checked, 26-2-68 noticed there was no fire in the fireplace and asked the homeowner which fireplace it was. The homeowner responded, " The one in the master bedroom" (see pictures).

The fire was put out and the outdoor fire pit was removed from the residence.
